Today I have the honor of doing my first international interview, this Jurassic being who writes to you talks today with GoAskAlex, or simply Alex. She who was elected by XBIX magazine “Best Inked Model 2020”, or the most beautiful tattooed model of the year! This achievement would already be memorable by itself, but also represents a victory for people with special needs, as Alex has an ostomy, I spoke a little about this in another post. Today, we chatted about her career and the activism work she has been doing to include greater visibility for people with disabilities in pornography. Check out how it went below.

First of all Alex, tell us a little about your career, how long have you been working with adult content production and how did you get into this business?
I’ve been a sex worker for over seven years, with most of my career spent live streaming via webcam. I started working out of necessity but soon realized it was my dream career, I like to express myself creatively and sexually… Some might say I’m an exhibitionist. Over the past few years, I’ve transitioned to more content creation and subscription sites. My focus right now is to create lots of sexy videos and photos for my fans.
What do you like most about your work as an adult performer and camgirl? And what do you not like? Is it your main activity today?
Alex: What I love most about my work is the freedom I have to create whatever inspires me. I’ve always been a highly creative person, but I’m pulled in so many directions that it can be hard to focus. Being self-employed means I can follow my inspirations and intuitions in any direction I choose. Since I’m my own boss, I can take time off whenever I need to rest. This can also be a challenge, as self-employment requires a substantial amount of self-discipline. The hardest part of working for myself is balancing my tendencies to procrastinate and also overworking myself.
How is your day to day and work routine Alex? And when you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I admit I tend to work a lot! I am my own photographer, videographer, audio technician, editor, social media team, accountant and much more! When I have time away from my phone, I try to visit the beach as much as possible. I like to volunteer when I can and find ways to contribute to my community. On my “off” days, you will usually find me surrounded by nature.
Do you plan to create your content for OnlyFans or do you just like it and let your instincts take you when recording?
Alex: I like to plan elaborate videos in advance, but sometimes I get excited about an idea and get carried away. My favorite videos are the ones that started spontaneously and ended with genuine, body-shaking orgasms. I know I’m making a good video when I have to stop in the middle of shooting to cum a few times.
I read on your website that you have been fighting for the rights of people with disabilities in your career, Alex, what led you down this path?
In 2019 I had life changing surgery to remove my entire colon and now I live with a permanent ileostomy. This means that my small intestine has been redirected out of my abdomen and a medical device is placed on top of it. Because of the stigma surrounding gut health, I wasn’t sure if I should continue with Sex Work after surgery. While there were several instances of negative feedback when I shared my first post-op nude on Twitter, I was met with love and compassion by the online community.
Disabled artists and consumers from around the world started sending me messages of appreciation for my bravery, and that’s when I realized the great need for diversity in adult media. Pornography, as we traditionally know it, was created with a narrow field of vision, often presenting the Eurocentric ideal for body types and gender expressions.
People with disabilities, people of color, plus-size artists, and non-binary or transgender individuals are often underrepresented by mainstream media and adult media. When they do appear, they are often a fetishized or caricatured version of themselves. I am all for body autonomy, and if individuals choose to fetishize themselves for financial or sexual gain, I will happily root for them; but it shouldn’t be your only option. I long for a world where all people can be sexually empowered and fairly represented in the media. In that way, becoming disabled rewrote the script on how I relate to the world around me and, as a result, completely reshaped my career.
What changed in your life after you started working as an adult artist?
Alex: Working in the adult industry has changed my life in every way. When I started the live stream, I was living in a roommate with a friend. During my webcam shows, I only had a wall of sheets to separate us for privacy. Over several years, I traded in my technology for newer equipment and, little by little, I improved my quality of life. In 2018 I bought a hybrid car with the money I saved from Sex Work.
Moving forward, I dream of buying a house facing the sea where I can spend every night watching the sunset surrounded by a porch full of dogs. A challenging aspect of my life as a sex worker is how I relate to other people. There is so much stigma around my job that I often find myself lying to new friends about my job. Landlords, banks and loved ones are approached with caution to protect my privacy and security.
Alex, can you tell us a little about your project for the Disabled Sex Workers calendar?
In 2019, after my surgery, I realized a huge need for representation, and with the help of my fans, I brainstormed this creative project. I wanted to find a way to showcase some of the disabled sex workers I knew, while also emphasizing that “sexy” comes in many different forms. Looking at the roots of pornography, this type of media was mostly consumed on paper in the form of adult magazines and eventually calendars. What is the best way to convey the message? Eventually, I hope to make a book full of images and quotes from disabled sex workers.
Despite working with erotic and adult content, do you also like to watch pornography? Do you have a favorite type?
Alex: After so many years of doing pornography, I think I see it now more as inspiration than anything else. It’s hard to turn my brain off and just “enjoy” when I watch a scene. So much so that I occasionally look for pornography for my personal pleasure, and almost always exclusively female women with vulvas. But whenever I consume pornography, I make sure I’m buying it directly from the artist. This way, I can ensure that the content is done ethically and that the interpreter is paid for their work.
Likewise, what turns you on during sex and what does one need to get Alex’s attention?
I do a lot of kinky scenes for my fans, so my personal sex life is usually more “vanilla”. As such, I can really get involved in role plays or panty stuffing with my personal sexual partners, as I am a sexual chameleon and I always find that I feel more turned on when my partner is too. I aim to please, and as long as I feel secure and confident, I will be extremely open-minded.
Do you have a dream you still want to fulfill? Do you have any sex workers that inspire you?
Alex: My dream is to work with large scale production companies to star in popular pornography. If that were to happen, I know my disabled body’s reach would certainly be global. I want everyone to know that having an ostomy doesn’t mean you can’t make your dreams come true, and it certainly doesn’t mean you aren’t sexy. My inspiration comes from icons like Nina Hartley, Jizz Lee and Stoya.
What tips would you, Alex, give to a girl who is thinking of becoming a Sex Worker or even just typical people or people with some kind of disability, but who want to explore more of their exhibitionist side and their sexuality?
In fact, the most important piece of advice I can give anyone about sex or sex work is to understand your limits. Write down what you like and dislike and clearly communicate this to your personal or professional partners. By the way, in a work environment, this can be established in a contract. Listen to your intuition, your safety and comfort come first!
