The actress began attending a performing arts college in 2001, and also studied at a drama school. To support herself, she started selling food, and a few years later she collected the poems she used to write and released a small book, which she sold on the street for a popular price.
In 2006, the artist debuted on television by making a cameo in a miniseries. In the same year, she won the first starring role of her career, in the soap opera “Alta Estação”, by Record. With her great success, Andreia soon began to reach greater heights, making a series on HBO and signing a contract with Rede Globo.

Then Andreia Horta began to be a frequent figure in different soap operas on Globo, especially “Império” and “Liberdade, Liberdade”, among others. She was also chosen to play the singer Elis Regina, one of the greatest in national music, in her biographical film. Because of the role, the actress was nominated for several awards, including outside Brazil, winning some.
Currently, Andreia has come into the spotlight as the protagonist of another soap opera, entitled “Um Lugar ao Sol”, which had its last chapter a few weeks ago. With just over a million followers on Instagram, she is already an established artist on television and has everything to keep popping up in prominent roles for years to come.
