What do you work with and for how long?
Jessie Janis: I work in the two most unlikely areas in the world: collections for 8 months (yes, those people who call you in the morning to ask why the hell you haven’t paid your debt yet), and I’ve also been a body piercer for 9 years (it’s the that I love to do the most, besides taking pictures).
What do you like to do in your free time?
Photos and videos, but mostly videos, I also really like dancing and I’m passionate about any type of fight. Anyway, where there’s music, there’s me dancing and whenever they suggest playing some sport, I’m the first to agree!
Why did you decide to start working on your sensual side?
Jessie Janis: Since I was a child I’ve always been very vain, that’s why I was in love with the most daring artists (Britney, Fergie, Aguilera, etc). I think I was born loving the female body, I’ve always admired belly dancers and pole dancers and I really wanted to be one of them.
Have you ever suffered any prejudice for this? If yes, how do you handle it?
Jessie Janis: It has the most. Mostly family and relationships. Most of the guys I got involved with got to know me that way, being myself, taking pictures and what I like. Then they wanted me to change.
Did you like the result of the photos for the Blog? Did it feel good?
I felt like a queen! I had never felt so beautiful being photographed by someone else, I always looked good in my own photos and when I was going to be photographed by a third party I was not at all satisfied. Haub is a fairy, no doubt!
Jessie Janis, how did you find out about Testosterone? What do you like most about the blog?
I had heard about it a few years ago, but I didn’t know it very well. Some colleagues of mine also talked a lot about the blog but I had never stopped to know. By the way, what I love most without a doubt is seeing so many girls who are my inspirations (I follow most of them on insta and follow their work). I love reading the interviews!
What’s the weirdest situation you’ve ever been in while shooting?
When I was younger, I took some photos at a waterfall. I thought it wouldn’t have almost anyone but it did. The guys who passed by there didn’t respect them at all, they would sit and stare and make jokes. Bad.
What was the place where you most enjoyed photographing?
Jessie Janis: In Porto Alegre, in the same one that Haub did for Testosterone. It was the best set I’ve ever done, I’ve never felt so comfortable being photographed!
Do you have any professional dreams?
Definitely anything related to pole dancing or burlesque dancing.
Who are your inspirations and references?
Jessie Janis: Dita Von Teese, Bettie Page, Monami Frost and Ruby Rose.
Do you have any fetishes?
I never know how to answer that question. If I stop to think about it, I won’t know how to speak one or the other. But at the time I’m all for it, so maybe I have all the fetishes in the world lol!!
How is your relationship with your fans/followers?
Jessie Janis: I have a lot of affection for them! Whenever I have a little time to spare I answer most, but I’m very open book so I end up becoming everyone’s best friend and then I can’t pay attention to everyone.
What kind of messages do you receive most in your inbox?
I rarely get anything vulgar or uncomfortable. Most are sincere compliments and make me more and more inspired to do what I love.
What kind of music do you like to listen to?
Jessie Janis: Any style. Serious. Less sertanejo.
What do you like to watch?
I really like horror movies inspired by real facts and documentaries about any kind of weirdness. And Naruto.

Is it your main job or hobby?
Now it’s become work as I’m focused on producing photosets for Suicide Girls.
VDo you have any specific project?
Yes, and this project is to recruit and transform Brazilian women into official suicide girl models.
What do you consider to be the biggest challenge in making sexy photos?
Achieve spontaneous and sincere smiles. I don’t like static poses or the famous face, I think that one of the most sensual things is a beautiful smile… I always try to convey that in my photos, something natural and unique.
What or who do you like to use as references for your work?
My great reference is the staff photographer Caustix, I love his work and I think it’s amazing how he manages to show personality through his photography. Anyone who looks at his photo knows right away that he owns that art. That’s my goal.
