First, how would you introduce yourself to a Testosterone reader who doesn’t know you yet and hasn’t seen your work?

I’m Pimenta, I’m a curvy model, bodypositive and my job is to normalize female bodies in all their forms.

How long have you had a profile on Suicide Girls and what caught your eye on the site?

I’ve been on Suicide Girls since 2015, I’ve been a fan of the site since I was a teenager, when I only watched from afar admiring the models.

Pepper, why did you decide to become a Suicide Girl?

First, a photographer called me to send an essay there, and I agreed right away! Being part of this team of models that I admired since I was young was very surreal for me.

Suicide Girls came about primarily to break patterns. Nowadays most of the models on the site have colored hair and tattoos, do you think that the site in this sense helped to establish a new standard of “alternative model”?

I think when the site started, yes. So much so that Suicide Girls comes precisely from girls who were so modified that they practiced social suicide, what we call “tearing the ID” with their tattoo and style totally out of line with society.

Do you consider yourself an alternative model? Or this classification is not necessary and a model is a model…

Yes, I consider myself an alternative model, I think like everywhere we have segments in things. However, being an alternative model is being more free with your style, it is often being known for it, not just for your beauty. It’s the beauty that comes from within, because the style you build with you, with your personality. It’s knowing that it’s not all modeling jobs that you fall into for tattoos and all. I think that being an alternative model is more rush than glamour, but it’s also about being more you when it comes to shooting and being free in your art.

What does it mean to you to be sensual in Pimenta’s view?

Sensuality is something that comes from within and comes out, I’ve always said. It’s having a body like mine, for example, that doesn’t fit many acceptance standards out there and still knowing your sensuality and not being ashamed of being sensual because your body is not what’s on the cover of a magazine . There are people who are sexy just by existing, because it is their essence that is sexy. When you know yourself and accept yourself… there’s nothing sexier than that.

According to your experience, have you ever suffered any kind of prejudice for doing sensual rehearsals? As well as dealing with people who do not understand this type of work?

Now yes! Even those who said they don’t suffer are lying. Incidentally, men who change their treatment and intentions when they have contact with what I do, making it impossible for me to relate to someone emotionally for a long time. But when you are sure of what you are, of the purpose you have with this exhibition, I think that being well resolved and safe is the basic thing to start shielding yourself from that. In the end it is much more internal than external.

When you are very well resolved with this, you stop worrying a little about the external. I always say that criticism comes from outside, but what we have to work on is our inner self, because it is with him that we will not let this affect us in any way. Objectification, machismo and prejudice belong to others and others are just others. Only you know your story, your run and your motives, not them.

How did you feel when you did your first sensual shoot?

Self-esteem a thousand! Self-esteem was never my forte, so finally feeling it in a genuine way was fuel for a lot of things in my life. I recommend it to women who have never done it, if there is insecurity, photograph with a woman. Enjoy the experience of being photographed, get to know yourself and test your angles and see the final result. Discover that you are beautiful in a way you didn’t know and then watch the magic happen inside you 🙂

Pepper, do you consider yourself an exhibitionist?

Nowadays not so much, I’ve been more. I think that everything in a woman’s life is a phase, at least with me it was like that, I don’t think I’m that much anymore, there are weeks when I don’t feel anything like it. But there are days when all I want is to feel beautiful on camera and show it off to the world.

Among your sets, do you have a favorite for a special reason?

This one is very difficult, I think that each set reminds you of a moment in your life, so each one has a different taste for me. One of the sets that I like the most is the cosplay I made of Freddy Krueger, because I love the character and because I saw myself beautiful in those pictures. Another one that I really love is the one I have with Kalinca and Maicon. These are sets that I’m still proud of today.

Tell us about your tattoos? How many do you have? What’s your favorite?

I don’t know how many I have and I don’t know how to choose a favorite either, I would be hurting the stories of the others. I really love my Tarot card on my belly. My Amy Winehouse on her hip… each one has a different reason and love. I’m decorating my walls with things that I love and that are part of my journey.

Pimenta, are you inspired or do you look for references in the work of other models? Which are?

Ever! A Suicide that I want to be when I grow up is Ceres ❤️ I think it’s amazing how beautiful she always looks, at any stage of her life, with any body and in the simplicity of her productions.

How is the relationship with your fans and admirers on social networks?

It is very good. Sometimes there is a part of the male audience that is clueless, but I try to deal with all that as best I can. I try to respond to everyone (that I can) I try to be forthcoming and inclusive. Having a support network is very important, followers are numbers. What matters is: how do you bring that number closer to you and make them become something more.

Are Brazilian fans different from foreign followers?

Yes they are. It’s cultural, right? The gringos are more restrained in their comments and approach, they understand that their admiration is enough and they respect boundaries. Most Brazilians don’t, but they are very warm and I always try to take it as best I can, all comments

What are your favorite Brazilian Pimenta SG?

This one is hard too, because I would need a list! I think they are my friends, Jacqueline and Hilo, who, in addition to being models on the site, I also really admire everything they are as a woman.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to study and read. I take French, a creative writing course, I read several books at the same time. I take care of the spiritual, I meditate, I study Tarot. I love waking up early and having a morning routine. Listen to my records on the record player. I think the time we invest in ourselves is very therapeutic

What tip would you give to a girl who dreams of joining the Suicide Girls?
