A few days ago, Samsung revealed the new look of Sam, its virtual assistant to help customers with questions during online shopping on the brand’s website. Specifically ‘Sam’ is a chatbot, that is, a computer program that uses artificial intelligence to talk to people. The objective is to answer the questions in the most humane way possible, so that people have the impression that they are talking to another person and not to a piece of software.
Samsung nailed the look of its virtual assistant so much that, shortly after its launch, Sam became one of the most talked about subjects on social networks around the world. Most likely because of the hentai traits, resembling an anime or manga character, with its large and expressive blue eyes, with violet pigmentation. A natural aesthetic to represent the Brand, since Samsung is an Asian company, in addition to pleasing a large part of the young public, avid consumers of gadgets, technology and, why not, digital pornography.
Lightfarm, one of the main animation companies in the world, was responsible for reformulating Sam and released the result even before Samsung. With studios in Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne, Auckland and Los Angeles, the project had a team made up basically of Brazilian artists.
And it didn’t take long for Sam’s first cosplay and animated videos to appear.
