Four waitresses at the Paikanyai bar in Bangkok, Thailand, were weighed and fined for serving their customers wearing only an apron and panties. Hired to attract customers during the night shift, the girls packed the bar, but caused some indignation among some residents. They and the bar owner were arrested and taken to the police station, where they had to pay a fine of 2,000 baht (R$280.00) each for public indecency.

Waitresses were paid 2,500 baht (R$350.00) for each two-hour shift, from 9 pm to 11 pm, serving food, drinks and cleaning tables. Customers were happy with the new “uniform” and beverage sales soared. Police Colonel Sirisongkram added, “When we visited the restaurant, the girls were not there, but we had enough evidence to arrest them. They admitted their wrong behavior and accepted the fines.”
